Performed by George Carlaw & the Avalon Pops Orchestra “

Carol of the Bells” is a popular Christmas carol composed by Ukrainian composer Mykola Leontovych in 1914 with lyrics by Peter J. Wilhousky. The song is based on a Ukrainian folk chant called “Shchedryk”. Wilhousky’s lyrics are copyrighted, although the original musical composition is not.

The song is recognized by a four-note ostinato motif. It has been arranged many times for different genres, styles of singing and settings and has been covered by artists and groups of many genres: classical, metal, jazz, country music, rock, and pop. The piece has also been featured in films, television shows, and parodies.

This is “Carol Of The Bells,” also known as the Ukrainian Carol. I am singing the standard SATB version, but modifying the bass part to fit my range.

The Julie’s are sitting in a beautiful snow background that I found on TwoFriendsStudio’s channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJGju… Since the Julie’s are not very good at memorization, they are using an app called unrealBook on their iPads. (Highly recommended app for musicians on the go!)

I use ProTools as my DAW, and Final Cut Pro X for video. If you enjoyed this, please subscribe and see my other videos. Thanks for watching!
